Bob Sangha

Chief Executive Officer

Bob founded Maxit Capital in 2013 and has over 20 years of experience in mining investment banking.

Bob has originated, executed and closed many of the mining sectors most innovative and successful transactions.

Bob’s primary focus is merchant banking opportunities in the mining sector and advising existing Maxit Capital clients.

Bob is a CFA Charterholder and holds MBA & JD degrees from the University of British Columbia and a BBA degree from Simon Fraser University.

Stanley Iu

Managing Partner

Stanley joined Maxit Capital in 2014 and has over a decade of investment banking experience in the metals and mining sector. Prior to Maxit, he spent 5 years with the mining investment banking team at Dundee Capital Markets.

He has originated and advised on a wide range of transactions including; acting as financial advisor on corporate, asset and joint venture mandates; advising the target and bidder in hostile transactions; and equity and structured financings; with an aggregate deal value exceeding $25 billion.

Stanley is a CPA, CA, a CFA Charterholder and holds a MAcc and BAFM degrees from the University of Waterloo.

Michael Li

Managing Partner

Michael joined Maxit Capital in 2020 and has over 16 years of experience in investment banking in the mining sector, previously with Citi, Credit Suisse and BMO. Michael has advised a significant number of Canadian and global mining companies on a wide range of buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, including corporate and asset-level deals, joint venture arrangements, and advising both targets and acquirors on hostile transactions. He also has significant experience advising companies across the mining sector on various debt and equity financing transactions.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Queen's University. He is a CFA Charterholder and member of the CFA Society Toronto.

Kevin Reid

Managing Partner

Kevin joined Maxit Capital in 2017 after over 15 years with the mining investment banking team at GMP. Kevin has a wide range of M&A advisory and financing transaction experience including: Goldcorp’s $2.0 billion acquisition of Wheaton River, EMC Metals’ $1.6 billion sale to Uranium One, Orko Silver’s $400 million sale to Coeur D’Alene, GlobeStar’s $200 million sale to Perilya Limited and Potash One’s $450 million sale to K+S. He has also advised on three acquisitions and ~$250 million in financings for Klondex Mines.

Kevin holds a Bachelor Science (Honours) from Queen’s University and an MBA (Finance) from the Schulich School of Business.

Chris Naprawa

Managing Partner

Chris has extensive institutional capital markets, capital formation, business development and M&A experience. He was a partner at Sprott Capital Partners, Managing Director at Primary Capital, Head of Equity Sales and Trading at Dundee Securities and Head of Institutional Equity Sales at Macquarie Canada (formally Orion Securities). At Macquarie, he was central to several large corporate finance transactions in the mining sector, including the raise of over $500 million in equity for Agnico Eagle Mines.

Since 2018, Chris was President and then Chair of the Board of Khiron Life Sciences (TSXV:KHRN), where he helped to raised $90 million in equity. He also served as President of TAAL Distributed Information Technologies (CSE:TAAL), a publicly traded provider of blockchain services. TAAL completed a material acquisition and raised $40 million in a prospectus offering, before recently going private. Prior to joining Bay Street, Chris was the founder and CEO of STARTcast Solutions and was President of Global Data Wireless (TSXV:GI) during the emergence of digital wireless.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts from Queen's University and lives in Toronto, Canada.

Babak Shadman

Vice President

Babak joined Maxit Capital at its inception. He previously interned at Dundee Capital Markets in the mining investment banking group, and prior to that, worked for TD Waterhouse where he was executing equities, bonds and derivatives trades.

Babak is a CFA Charterholder and obtained a MBA degree from the Ivey Business School.

Sameer Rabbani

Vice President

Sameer joined Maxit Capital in 2014 and has been involved in a number of transactions. He previously worked in investment banking at Dundee Capital Markets. Sameer also has finance and direct investing experience through summer placements at Barrick Gold and Teachers' Private Capital, the private equity arm of the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan.

Sameer holds an Honours Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Jason Takhar

Associate

Jason joined Maxit Capital in 2018 as an Analyst. He previously held internships at Dundee Capital Markets in the mining investment banking group and Goldcorp in the Project Finance department.

Jason holds a Business Administration degree from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University.
